If you're experiencing problems with your GPS not picking up your location, make sure you have Location Services turned on for both your phone and the app. To turn this on, go to Settings, and then Location Services.
GPS is key when it comes to tracking your activities if you want to see an overview of your run. It's also important since this will give you the most accurate information of your run. GPS will constantly be running in the background while you are out, but no worries because it uses minimal data! This is just to ensure that MY ASICS is accurately tracking your run by distance and speed.
*NOTE* - Always make sure your app indicates that you have a strong GPS signal before starting a run. If the signal is poor, you may notice some inaccuracies in your workout, specifically the distance.
If you're on iOS* and are running into this issue, you can try giving your phone a hard reset. This helps with refreshing the signals and LTE bands on your device. To do this, press and hold both your home button and power/lock button until you see the Apple logo appear on the screen. You can then release and the phone should re-start.
**iPhone 7 users: To hard reset your phone, you will need to press and hold your power/lock and down volume button until you see the Apple logo. This has to do with the force touch built into the newly designed home button.
If you're on Android you will need to press and hold the volume down/power button until you see the screen go black and then return to the device booting back up.
